Government offices, banks and other businesses close or curtail their hours for Memorial Day, which is Monday, May 27.

City of Concord offices will be closed Monday, May 27 for Memorial Day. Offices to be closed include the Civic Center complex (1950 Parkside Drive), Public Works (1455 Gasoline Alley), the Concord Senior Center (2727 Parkside Circle), Centre Concord (5298 Clayton Rd.), Willow Pass Community Center (2748 East Olivera Rd.) and Police Headquarters (1350 Galindo St.). Police patrol and dispatch operations will not be affected by the closure.
Concord Community Pool will remain open on Memorial Day. Hours will be 10 a.m. to noon for lap swim and from 1 to 4 p.m. for recreational swimming. The pool will be open the same hours on Saturday and Sunday, May 25 and 26.
All major banks will be closed May 27, including Chase, Wells Fargo and Bank of America in Concord.
Concord's Department of Motor Vehicles will be closed on Monday, May 27.
All local libraries will be closed, including the Concord Library, on Memorial Day.
All U.S.post offices will be closed, including Concord locations, and no deliveries will be made until Tuesday.
