Concord Business Owners Start Planning December Festivities

The Todos Santos Business Association is working to bring carriage rides to downtown Concord this holiday season.

Concord’s downtown business owners are starting to plan for the December holiday season, said Darrin Walters, president of the Todos Santos Business Association (TSBA).

Walters said the plan is to have a tree lighting ceremony, hot chocolate, candy canes, and carriage rides around the plaza.

“We’re in the process of securing the carriage,” Walters told Patch Wednesday.

Each year, local businesses celebrate the holiday season by planning events at Todos Santos Plaza for the community to attend. This year, the TSBA is crowd funding the carriage rental from its member base. Walters said he is more than halfway towards the goal of raising $2,500 to pay for the carriage.

“Everything is looking like it’s on track,” he said.

If all goes as planned, the carriage will get rolling on December 7, 2013.
