PHOTOS: Brush Fire Chars Hillside By Kirker Pass Road
The fire blackened the hillside just outside of Concord.
A brush fire that began Monday afternoon by Kirker Pass and Hess roads just outside of Concord burned almost 500 acres of land, destroyed three buildings and threatened homes.
The photos above were taken by Greg Daley and show the charred landscape. It took more than five hours for firefighters to douse the blaze.
