By Bay City News

Firefighters have controlled a one-alarm fire at a commercial building in Concord this morning, a fire captain said. Crews were called to the single-story building at 970 Detroit Ave. around 9:30 a.m., Contra Costa County Fire Protection District Capt. Robert Marshall said.

Marshall said he does not believe there was anyone inside the building at the time the fire broke out and no injuries have been reported. Firefighters were able to bring the blaze under control shortly before 10 a.m., he said. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
