Nordstrom Rack Opening This Week
The grand opening of the 47,000-square-foot store at the Sunvalley Shopping Center is Sept. 12.
Nordstrom is having a grand opening on Thursday, Sept. 12 for a new Nordstrom Rack store in the Sunvalley Shopping Center in Concord, California.
There have been "lots of moving parts" in organizing a new store, said Nordstrom spokesperson Kendall Ault. That pushed back the opening of the 47,000-square-foot store from spring of 2013, which was the original announced opening.
"We're looking forward to getting the doors open in the fall," said Ault.

The discount retailer carries merchandise from regular Nordstrom stores and the website, as well as Rack-specific lines at discounted rates.
