Before coming to Patch (see my welcome video to learn more), my work was published with Human Rights Watch, the <i>San Francisco Bay Guardian</i>, <i>Santa Cruz Sentinel</i>, <i>Diablo</i> magazine, California Watch and News21, a new media incubator funded by the Carnegie Corporation of New York and the John S. and James L. Knight Foundation. 

I am a graduate of the University of California, Berkeley, where I earned a bachelor&#39;s degree in art history and master&#39;s degree in journalism with an emphasis on new media.

My favorite Danville activities are buying produce at the Saturday Farmers Market, drinking a cappuccino (or watermelon mint cooler) at Sideboard and taking dance classes at Two Left Feet studio.
