Concord Christian Schools
2120 Olivera Ct, Concord, CA 94520

Concord Christian Schools is a great alternative to public schools in the Concord area. Starting out as a preschoolMore in 1967, Concord Christian Schools have developed into a preschool - 12th grade learning environment focusing on the standard core curriculum of math, reading and writing.

However, it's not your traditional classroom setting as the teachers use Abeka Curriculum, which teaches standard math and phonics through biblical context and principles. Out-of-classroom activities are part of the curriculum and involves anything fun and exciting like bowling, swimming or rock climbing.

PreK - 5th grade is a teacher taught curriculum while 6-12th grade is teacher assisted. To become accepted, there is an evaluation with a teacher for placement for K-5th grades. For 6-8th graders, there is a placement test and for the remaining grades, you will need a transcript.

There is a wonderful sense of community and purpose as many of the faculty have been there from anywhere between 5 to 39 years. The principal has not only worked there for the past 11 years, but was also a student from 4th grade on and considers this her "home away from home".

It is a member of the Association of Christian Schools International with the goal of academic and character development as well as harnessing a deeper understanding and knowledge for God.  They strive to develop the mind, body and spirit of each student.
