One of Clayton's oldest institutions, the United States Post Office is located on Center Street. The post office offers a drive-thru mailbox, passport applications and PO Boxes online. The Clayton Post Office was established in 1861 and is one of the oldest post offices in California. The current building has been in opperation since 2001.
