While some people are heading out of town for the Labor Day weekend, here are a few reasons to stick around town.
Just outside Concord, kids will be racing derby cars, while adults congregate and catch up. The Clayton Community Church Derby and Car Show is taking place on Saturday morning.
Also on Saturday, kids and adults can cruise over to the Crowne Plaza Hotel to check out the Concord Con Toy & Collectible Show. Organizers say the show will feature tough to find collectible cars, comics, and new action figures.
