Seasonal Concord High Farmers' Market Starts Sunday

Contra Costa Certified Farmers' Markets brings fresh produce back to Concord High for the summer season, starting May 5 from 9 a.m to 1 p.m.

The farmers' market in the Concord High School parking lot returns Sunday, May 5, 2013 for its second season. The hours are 9 a.m. to 1 p.m.

Spring arrivals at the Concord High market will include strawberries and raspberries, fresh cut flowers, asparagus and cherries, according to Contra Costa Certified Farmers' Markets (CCCFM).

The market was evicted temporarily from the Concord High parking lot last June after failing to go through the proper approval process with the City of Concord. A petition was launched, and the market returned at the end of June to continue its first season.
