KidFest Kicks Off This Weekend

The annual festival will take up most of the grass field at Mount Diablo High School

Submitted by the organizers of KidFest.

Dozens of activities for young children, teens and parents. Nonstop activities including face painting, entertainment, balloon art, bounces and crawls, fire truck, Live Shark Encounter, police K-9 demonstrations, BMX Bike Stunt Team, Kids’ Town America, SpongeBob SquarePants, Monster Mural, sport games, Ronald McDonald, 100 arts & crafts and exhibitor booths, food court, rides and more.

Memorial Day weekend, May 26-27-28, 10 a.m. – 6 p.m.  Mt. Diablo High School, 2450 Grant St., Concord.

$5 per person with the donation of a canned good for the Food Bank of Contra Costa & Solano.  $6 without a can donation.  Babies and seniors 65+ are FREE.  Benefits local non-profits.  (925) 671-3287.  www.KidFestConcord.com

The festival will feature a noon ceremony on Memorial Day Monday. The United States Army Color Guard along with the Junior ROTC from Mt. Diablo High School will be on hand, along with singers performing patriotic music to honor those who have served and died for America.
