Fundraiser to Support Local Police K-9 Units

Help Concord Police's K-9 unit by washing your dog at Pet Food Express June 30 and July 1 or just by buying tokens. Watch a live police K-9 demo while you're at it.

Want to get your pet washed and help support police K-9s at the same time?

All Pet Food Express locations throughout the Bay Area will be holding their annual fundraising event to help sponsor the ‘Cover Your K9’ organization on Saturday, June 30, and Sunday, July 1.

One hundred percent of the proceeds from this event will go towards the purchase of bullet proof vests, K9 trauma kits, heat alarms for police vehicles and medical care for retired K9’s, according to coveryourk9.org

This organization donates all of these items to the police agencies that need it throughout Northern California.

Last year Cover Your K9 custom made vests for all six current Concord Police K9 crime fighters and one newly retired one. This was well over a $10,000 donation, according to a source at the department.
