Concord Gets Jazzed for Final Summer Concert

Swing over to Todos Santos Plaza Wednesday evening for Steve Lucky & the Rhumba Bums. The show starts at 6:30 p.m. and is the last in the Music and Market summer series.

All good things must come to an end — but Concord's is going out swinging.

The final concert of the season brings Steve Lucky & the Rhumba Bums to Todos Santos Plaza for a kick-your-shoes-off jazz and swing session.

This summer's concert series has been blessed by perfect weather and a vibrant crowd ready to get up and dance. Thursday will be no exception. Expect clear skies and warm temperatures — and Concordians and visitors hopping around to jump blues, swing, and jazz inspired by the '30s, '40s and '50s.

The show starts at 6:30 p.m. and goes until 8 p.m.

On the periphery, will be available at Concord Farmers' Market, which starts at the earlier time of 4 p.m. and packs up when the music stops.

Parking spaces and garages fill up, so come early — or take a stroll, bike ride or bus to the plaza.

It sounds like a good time, but this would have been better if reported on a couple of days ago!

Thanks for the comment, 54. I thought it would be best to publish the story this morning so that recipients of our morning newsletter would be reminded, and also so it wouldn't get buried on the site.
