Seahawks, Broncos Ready for Super Bowl XLVIII!

The Feb. 2 Super Bowl will be the first outdoor title game played in a cold weather city.

It won't be the Super Bowl many Bay Area residents wanted after what from a San Francisco 49ers standpoint was a crushing 23-17 loss to the Seattle Seahawks in Sunday's NFC championship game.

But we might as well enjoy it. Super Bowl XLVIII is the only Super Bowl we're going to get.

It figures to be a good one, as Denver Broncos quarterback Peyton Manning lead's the NFL's most potent passing attackagainst Seattle's "Legion of Doom" secondary.

The Seahawks are coached by Pete Carroll, a three-sport athlete at Marin County's Redwood High in the 1960s who in 1969 was named the school's Athlete of the Year.

This year's Super Bowl will be the first ever played outdoors in a cold weather environment at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, N.J. The game will be broadcast on FOX on Feb. 2 at 3:30 p.m.
