NCS Soccer Semifinal Battles Today

High school boys and girls teams from Concord, San Ramon Valley and Dublin are action

High school soccer teams from the San Ramon Valley, Concord and Dublin will do battle this evening in the North Coast Section semifinals.

The winners will advance to the finals of their division on Saturday.

In the boys Division I semifinals, Clayton Valley High travels to De La Salle High for a 7 p.m. game. The fourth-seeded Eagles are 19-4-3 this season. De La Salle, the top seed, is 20-3-2.

The other semifinal has San Ramon Valley High, the number six seed, playing at the home field of the number two seed, Richmond High. That game is also at 7 p.m. The Wolves are 16-6-4 while Richmond is 22-4.

In the girls Division I semifinals, California High plays at 7 p.m. at San Ramon Valley High. The Grizzlies are ranked fourth and have a record of 14-4-5. San Ramon Valley is the number one seed and is 18-1-4.

In the other semi, third-seeded Carondelet High (13-3-6) plays at the home field of the number two seed, Monte Vista High (14-1-8). That games starts at 7 p.m.

In the boys Division II semifinals, ninth-ranked Bishop O'Dowd (11-3-11) plays at fifth-ranked Concord High (14-2-5). That game begins at 7 p.m.

The victor will play the winner of the other semifinal match between 11th-ranked Tennyson High (12-6-5) and seventh seed Albany High (13-4-6).

In the girls Division II semifinals, number two seed Dublin High (16-5-3) hosts number three Albany High (16-5-3). That game begins at 7 p.m.

The winner plays the victor in the match between number four Campolindo High (10-4-5) and top seed Bishop O'Dowd (19-3-2).
