Football: Concord Takes on Clayton Valley This Friday

Minutemen and Eagles go head-to-head in the NCS playoffs. Are you going to the game? Excited about it? Share your thoughts on the likely winner.

Local football teams are buzzing this season, with De La Salle's winning streak continuing this past Friday against Pittsburg, and now a coming CIF North Coast Division match-up between Concord High and Clayton Valley — both of whom have had great seasons standing at 10-2 and 10-1 respectively.

But when these neighoring rivals meet on the field, who will come out on top? The winner heads to the championship against either Rancho Cotate or Northgate. MaxPreps predicts a win for Clayton Valley.

The game starts at 7 p.m. Friday, Nov. 23 at Clayton Valley Charter High School.
