Las Lomas boys edge Dublin while Granada and Newark boys as well as Northgate girls win again

Here are some of the scores of high school basketball games in the East Bay on Friday night.

BOYS

Las Lomas 59  Dublin 54

Las Lomas High won a close, important league battle by downing Dublin High, 59-54.

The game was tied 26-26 at halftime. The Knights held a three-point advantage after three periods and then hung on for the victory.

Las Lomas has won four in a row. They are now 15-8 overall and 6-3 in league play.

Dublin falls to 15-8 and 5-4 in league. It was their second straight loss.

Acalanes 62  Dougherty Valley 60

In a seesaw battle, Acalanes High edged Dougherty Valley High, 62-60.

The game was tied 26-26 at halftime. Acalanes took a slim 41-40 lead into the fiinal period and hung on for victory.

Acalanes his now 14-9 overall and 3-6 in league.

Dougherty Valley is 13-9 on the season and 2-6 in league.

DVAL

Northgate 57  Concord 29

Northgate High used a smothering defense to defeat Concord High, 57-29, in an important league game.

Northgate is now 14-8 overall and 6-2 in league. They've won five straight.

Concord falls to 15-8 on the season and 5-4 in league.

College Park 59  Clayton Valley 40

College Park High pulled away from Clayton Valley High in the second half to take another step toward a league crown.

The Falcons led only 26-24 at halftime, but they outscored Clayton Valley 16-8 in the third period on their way to victory.

College Park has won four in a row. They are 16-7 overall and 7-1 in league play.

Clayton Valley is now 13-9 and 4-4 in league. They've lost three of their past four games.

EBAL

Granada 67  California 64

Granada High saw a large lead whittle away and then hung on for a close victory against California High, 67-64.

Granada jumped out to a 34-13 halftime lead, but California charged back, outscoring the Matadors 51-33 in the second half as they came up just short.

Granada was led by senior Devin DeBrum, who scored 17 points. The Matadors are now 15-6 overall and 7-3 in league. They've won five straight.

California is 10-12 overall and 4-6 in league. They've lost six of their past seven league games.

Monte Vista 44  Amador Valley 41

Monte Vista High needed a fourth quarter comeback to edge Amador Valley High, 44-41.

The Mustangs led 23-22 at halftime, but Amador Valley edged ahead 36-34 as the fourth quarter began. Monte Vista outscored the Dons, 10-5 in the final period for the win.

Monte Vista avenged a 50-46 loss earlier this season to Amador Valley. The Mustangs are now 16-6 overall and 8-2 in league.

Amador Valley falls to 12-10 on the season and 4-6 in league. They've lost four in a row.

Foothill 61  Livermore 56 (OT)

Foothill High came back from a 10-point deficit to tie the game in regulation before winning in overtime over Livermore High, 61-56.

The Cowboys led 34-24 at halftime, but Foothill had a strong third period to take a 43-42 lead. The teams were tied 52-52 at the end of the fourth quarter.

Foothill is now 9-13 overall and 5-5 in league.

Livermore is 6-16 and 0-10 in league.

De La Salle 55  San Ramon Valley 27

De La Salle High used a big second half to bury San Ramon Valley High, 55-27.

The Spartans only led 22-16 at halftime, but they outscored the Wolves 33-11 in the second half to secure the victoy.

De La Salle was once again led by senior guard Amadi Udenyi, who scored 25 points and dished out six assists, and junior guard Elliot Pitts, who scored 18 points and snared five rebounds.

De La Salle is now 20-2 overall and 9-1 in league. They've won 10 in a row.

San Ramon Valley is 8-14 on the season and 3-7 in league. They've lost four of their past five games.

HAAL

Mt. Eden 57   San Lorenzo 52

Mt. Eden High overtook San Lorenzo High in the final period to secure a 57-52 victory.

The Rebels led 26-23 at halftime and 41-39 at the end of the third quarter. However, Mt. Eden outscored them 18-11 in the fourth quarter to earn the win.

Mt. Eden is now 16-6 overall and 7-5 in league play.

San Lorenzo, which was once riding a win streak, has dropped three in a row. They are 10-11 overall and 6-5 in league.

Castro Valley 62  Hayward 40

Castro Valley High continued on its hot streak by blasting Hayward High, 62-40.

The Trojans led 27-17 at halftime and keep building on that margin in the second half. They were led by senior guard Dawson Johnson, who scored 22 points.

Castro Valley is now 17-4 on the season and 9-2 in league play. They've won seven straight.

Hayward falls to 6-12 overall and 3-7 in league.

MVAL

Newark Memorial 65  Washington 32

Newark Memorial High continued its march throught the MVAL with a 65-32 pasting of Washington High.

The Cougars led 19-14 at half and then outscored the Huskies 19-7 in the third quarter to secure the victory.

Newark Memorial has won 13 straight. They are 19-4 overall and 9-0 in league.

Washington falls to 7-15 and 4-4 in league.

GIRLS

DVAL

Northgate 69  Concord 35

Northgate High remained in first place with a 69-35 shellacking of Concord High.

The Broncos only led 14-12 after the first quarter, but then went on a 21-4 run in the second period on their way to a rout.

Northgate was led by senor guard Greer Kleber, who scored 25 points.

The Broncos are now 13-9 overall and 8-0 in league play. They've won eight of their past nine games.

Concord falls to 8-14 and 3-7 in league. They've lost four of their past five.

Clayton Valley 69  College Park 53

Clayton Valley High used a strong first half to defeat College Park High, 69-53.

The Eagles led 35-13 at halftime and 53-30 at the end of the third period.

Clayton Valley was led by senior guard Karley Menez, who scored 25 points.

Clayton Valley is now 12-10 overall and 6-2 in league. They've won seven of their past eight games.

College Park falls to 12-10 on the season and 5-4 in league.

Berean Christian 62  Mt. Diablo 22

Berean Christian continued its winning ways by crushing Mt. Diablo High, 62-22.

The Eagles clung to a 9-8 lead after the first quarter, but then they outscored Mt. Diablo, 24-5, in the second period and cruised the rest of the way.

Berean Christian was led by junior guard Madi West, who poured in 30 points.

The Eagles are now 16-7 overall and 7-2 in league. They've won four of their past five games.

Mt. Diablo drops to 3-16 overall and 1-8 in league.

EBAL

Granada 45  California 43

Granada High came back in the fourth quarter to edge California High, 45-43.

Granada led 22-20 at halftime, but California took the lead 35-33 at the end of the third period. The Matadors edged back in front of the Grizzlies for the narrow victory.

Granada is now 15-7 overall and 5-5 in league.

California is 8-14 overll and 4-6 in league.

Foothill 62  Livermore 49

Foothill High pulled away from Livermore High in the final period to secure a 62-49 victory.

Foothill led 33-26 at halftime and 50-44 after three periods before outscoring Livermore 12-5 in the final frame.

Foothill is now 11-11 overall and 6-4 in league.

Livermore is also 11-11 on the season and 4-6 in league.

DFAL

Dublin 79  Las Lomas 44

Dublin High used a big first half to crush Las Lomas High, 79-44.

The Gaels led 46-22 at halftime and never looked back. They were led by senior guard Shannon Irwin and junior guard Alison Martinez, who each scored 18 points.

Dublin is now 13-8 overall and 5-4 in league play. They snapped a two-game losing streak.

Las Lomas is 8-15 on the season and 0-9 in league. They've dropped 10 straight.

Dougherty Valley 75  Acalanes 31

Dougherty Valley High stayed in the hunt for a league title with a convincing 75-31 win over Acalanes High.

The Wildcats jumped out to a 49-18 halftime lead and coasted to victory.

Dougherty Valley is now 15-7 overall and 7-1 in league play. They've won six in a row.

Acalanes is 13-10 and 3-6 in league. They've lost four of their past five games.

HAAL

Bishop O'Dowd 73  Arroyo 25

Bishop O'Dowd High destroyed Arroyo High, 73-25, to keep its hold on first place.

The Dragons pulled out to a 21-8 lead at the end of the first quarter, then widened the margin to 54-12 at halftime.

Bishop O'Dowd is 12-0 in league play.

Arroyo High falls to 10-11 overall and 4-8 in league.

Mt. Eden 59  San Lorenzo 41

Mt. Eden High cruised to a 59-41 victory over San Lorenzo High.

Mt. Eden led 32-21 at halftime and slowly widen their margin in the second half.

Mt. Eden is now 15-7 overall and 7-5 in league.

San Lorenzo falls to 2-19 on the season and 0-11 in league.
