Girls Basketball: Clayton Valley Plays in NCS Semis Tonight

That's how many wins the Clayton Valley High girls basketball team is away from winning the North Coast Section Division II championship.

The Eagles will hope to make the magic No. 1 when the second-seeded Eagles host third-seeded Santa Rosa at 7  tonight.

Clayton Valley (25-2) advanced to the semifinals after beating league-rival Northgate 64-56 Friday. Santa Rosa (23-7) beat Mt. Eden 54-26 in the first round and American 50-39 in the quarters.

Both teams come into the game riding long winning streaks, with Santa Rosa winning its last 12 games and Clayton Valley winning its last 21 games.
