Open space can restore your spirit in an hour. On this walk, you reach Paradise in half that. Don't be fooled by the proximity to major roads, the staging area is a gateway to beautiful loop hikes, varied habitat, interesting history and incredible views. Over 100 years ago this ridgeline was quarried for lime, but in the past 50 years the area has recovered to providing habitat for dozens of rare plants and animals. This Family oriented loop hike will be about 3 miles with a gradual elevation gain of about 500'.
MEET at the Montecito Staging area, SW corner of Ygnacio and Cowell Rd.
From I-680 head east on Ygnacio Valley Rd, turn right on Montecito Dr, the staging area is the first right. Bring plenty of water, sun protection, wear boots and a hat. RSVP to Kirk or call 925-947-3535 for more information.
