Clayton Valley Soccer Teams Play in NCS Second Round Tonight

Clayton Valley's girls face San Ramon Valley at 5 p.m. and the boys go up against Richmond at 7 p.m.

It's a night of playoff soccer at Clayton Valley High with the girls and boys both competing in the North Coast Section second round tonight.

The girls, the No. 10 seed in the 16-team tournament, face a substantial challenge when it meets San Ramon Valley at 5 p.m. The No. 2-seeded Wolves (16-3-4) finished second in the highly competitive East Bay Athletic League and beat American 4-0 in the first round.

Clayton Valley's boys squad face No. 14 Richmond in the second round, which upset No. 3 Deer Valley 1-0 in the first round. The Eagles (16-2-5) got out of the first round thanks to to beat Mt. Eden 3-2 Wednesday.

The boys match is slated to start at 7 p.m.
