The Eagles football team travels to Santa Rosa to battle Maria Carrillo in the first round

Clayton Valley High's football team travels to Santa Rosa this weekend to compete in the first round of the Division II playoffs.

The 9th ranked Eagles will battle 8th ranked Maria Carrillo High, beginning at 7 p.m. on Saturday.

Clayton Valley had an up-and-down season, finishing with a 6-4 overall record. They won their final two games after losing the three previous games.

The Pumas had won four in a row before losing last week to Rancho Cotate. They finished with a 5-5 record.
