Spartan Wrestlers Take Section Title

Congratulations to the wrestling team, which won the North Coast Section Dual Championship on Saturday, Feb. 12. "This team has an unbelievable amount of heart," says Louise Gee, a parent on the team.

Now on to the next goal: League Championships and then the State Championship meet.

Jazz Ensemble continued its impressive collection of awards. Fresh off its First Place Div. B performance at the Folsom Jazz Festival last month, the group took third place in the Division A competition at the 36th Campana Jazz Festival held at Amador Valley High School in Pleasanton on Saturday, Feb. 12.

After their concert, Martin Lejano (trumpet), and Michelle Conover (trombone) were awarded judges’ medals for outstanding performance. The Jazz Ensemble’s next performance will be at the Spring Concert at Concord High School on March 31.
