Concord Football Teams Go For Northern California Championships

De La Salle and Clayton Valley High will both play on Saturday in championship games.

Two Concord high school football teams will try to capture Northern California championships on Saturday.

De La Salle High will be attempting to achieve yet another Division I title when it plays Folsom High at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Sacramento State.

The Spartans are 13-0 this season afterlast weekend in the NCS finals.

De La Salle has not lost to a Northern California team since 1991.

Folsom High is 14-0 after crushing Elk Grove High, 44-18, last weekend to win their sectional title.

On Saturday evening, Clayton Valley High will try to grab the Northern California Division II title.

The Eagles are 12-1 after 35-7, for the NCS crown last weekend.

They will play Oakdale High at 7:30 p.m. Saturday at Lincoln High School. The Mustangs are 13-1 after beating Vista del Lago High, 22-9, last weekend for their sectional title.
