Clayton Patch Contributor Lutz Awarded Leadership Scholarship

Local high schoolers Edward Estrada and Teresa Perez also were awarded scholarships.

Clayton Patch columnist Miranda Lutz and two other local high schoolers are among the 190 California high school scholarship winners in Comcast's Leaders and Achievers Scholorship Program.

Lutz, a 2011 Clayton Valley High graduate, along with Edward Estrada of De La Salle High and Teresa Perez of Crossroads High. will be honored for their leadership and achievements Wednesday at the State Capitol in Sacramento.

Most will receive $1,000 scholarships. Two lucky students will be surprised with $10,000 scholarships and 20 names will be drawn for a laptop computer.
