The median price for a home in the nine-county Bay Area jumped to $585,000 in August, a 36 percent increase from the year before.
The price of a home can vary greatly from ZIP code to ZIP code, so we'd thought we'd take a look at houses on the market that are priced close to each community's median price.
In Concord, there's this four-bedroom, two-bathroom home at 5107 Brookside Court that's listed at $499,950.
The home, built in 1963, is 1,648 square feet and sits on a sixth of an acre.
