The site says it's a registered political action committee, but there are no names on the site. There is a phone number, which Clayton Patch called, but the person who returned the call did not agree to an interview. Follow-up phone calls and an email were not returned.
SaveClayton.com states that its mission is "To stop the inappropriate development of the church project on Main Street in downtown Clayton, so they can find a more suitable location in our community."

The wants to build a church and three other buildings, totaling about 42,000 square feet, on a 2.3-acre site on Main Street. For the project to be approved, the City Council must approve the environmental impact report and make changes to its Town Center Specific Plan.
SaveClayton.com says it wants to preserve Clayton's Historical Downtown, protect financial resources for the city. It adds the project doesn't serve the best interest of the city.
The site asks people to email members of the Planning Commission or City Council to voice their disagreement with the project and to donate money to SaveClayton.com.
