Be prepared for lots of noise and delays during multiple lane closures on northbound Interstate 680 Friday night and parts of next week.
Caltrans will close up to three lanes Friday from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m. for crack and seal work from Rudgear Road in Walnut Creek to LaGonda Way in Danville. Closures will resume next Monday and last through Wednesday during the hours of 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
Lane closures will begin on southbound I-680 between Rudgear Road and La Gonda Way once cracking on the northbound lanes is complete.
The southbound construction and lane closures will occur from 8 p.m. to 5 a.m. on Thursday, June 30, and is expected to be complete that same day.
Construction crews will also be paving both the northbound and southbound lanes, between Diablo Road and La Gonda Way in Danville.
The paving will occur on the northbound lanes Friday from 8 p.m. to 8 a.m.
The southbound lanes will be paved Monday through Wednesday during the hours of 8 p.m. to 6 a.m.
