Kristi Yamaguchi Dreams Big For Story Time at Walnut Creek Library Thursday

Children must register for this event on the afternoon of June 2.

Kick off summer reading with a special story time featuring Olympic figure skating champion,Dancing With the Stars winner, and Alamo resident Kristi Yamaguchi

Yamaguchi will be at the downtown Walnut Creek Library next Thursday reading from her new book, Dream Big, Little Pig. The book tells the story of a little ice skating pig whose family tells her to follow her dreams. A portion of the book's proceeds go to support Yamaguchi's Always a Dream Foundation and its early literacy initiatives, according to Yamaguchi's website

The Walnut Creek Library is partnering with Yamaguchi and iVillage to promote PBS KIDS Summer Reading Community Challenge.

The event at 3:30 p.m. is for children, ages 3 to 10 Adults who attend must be accompanied by a child whose name appears on the sign up list. Register online to attend:
