Clayton's incumbent election winner Julie Pierce was given the title of mayor at the Dec. 4 Clayton City Council meeting. Pierce has served on the council since 1992.
During the annual reorganization, the council also chose Hank Stratford as vice mayor.
The five members of the council include Howard Geller and Jim Diaz, who were both elected in the Nov. 6 vote to join Council member David T. Shuey.
Stratford and Shuey's terms expire in 2014. The terms for Pierce, Diaz and Geller expire in 2016.
Regular meetings of the Clayton City Council are held on the first and third Tuesdays of each month at 7 p.m. in Hoyer Hall at the Clayton Community Library.
