Council to Consider Memorial Flag Pole in The Grove Park
Clayton's first mayor Robert Hoyer wants to donate a flag poll in memory of his wife.
One of Clayton's forefathers has a request for the city. He wants a flag pole in Clayton's signature park, The Grove, to be dedicated to his wife Eldora Hoyer.
The Hoyers are credited with being at the forefront of the effort to make Clayton a city in 1964. Robert wants to donate the poll and the council is expected to decide if they want it and what roll the city should play in installing at its meeting Tuesday.
The council will also hear its annual report on the citizen's Trail and Landscaping Committee.
