Council Recognizes Clayton's Finest Young People

The city honored 22 students as part of the "Do The Right Thing" initiative Tuesday night.

The Clayton City Council recognized some of the finest students in the city Tuesday as part of its "Do The Right Thing" program.

"Do The Right Thing" was started in September by the city to encourage good character and citizenship among students at , and .

The Clayton Community Business Association and Clayton Police Department have taken part in the initiative.

Councilmember Hank Stratford, who was mayor last year and championed the initiative, said "Do The Right Thing" is making a difference.

"I think it's a subtle but constant way to teach kids about the importance of having good character," he said.
