Council Honors Firefighters for October Rescue

Oct. 14 rescue of two Concord residents was caught on tape.

Three ConFire firefighters were recognized at Tuesday night's City Council meeting for saving the lives of two women who were trapped inside a burning home in Concord on Oct. 14.

Captain Christopher Christiansen, engineer Chris Leimpeter and firefighter-paramedic Nicholas Long were presented awards of recognition by Mayor Ron Leone and a representative from Sen. Mark DeSaulnier's office.
