Concord DMV Is Closing April 11 for 5 Months of Repairs

The scheduled re-opening date is in September.

The California Department of Motor Vehicles announced today that the Concord field office, at 2070 Diamond Blvd., is closing for renovations on Friday, April 11 at 12 noon.

The renovations include the installation of a new heating, air, and ventilation system, new furniture, lighting, interior and exterior paint, parking lot resealing, and ADA accessibility upgrades, according to the DMV. 

The Concord field office will reopen to the public in September 2014, officials said.

The DMV reminds customers that there are more than 20 online services available on www.dmv.ca.gov, including options to renew registration and driver licenses, complete changes of address, request personal driver records and make appointments.

·       Walnut Creek - 1910 N. Broadway,  6 miles away.

·       Pittsburg - 1399 Buchanan Road, 14 miles away.

·       Vallejo - 200 Couch Street,  16 miles away.

·       Oakland - 5300 Claremont Avenue, 19 miles away.
