The City of Concord's Public Works Department has job openings for seasonal contractors to work on an as-needed basis.
Duties include grounds-keeping, maintenance and construction, and may include heavy lifting as well as prolonged periods of standing, stooping, reaching and climbing. The Public Works Department is looking for contractors with a knowledge of basic equipment such as shovels, rakes, small power mowers, spray equipment, and pneumatic tools.
The pay is $11.60 to $12.80 an hour, with no benefits. Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, one to three years of maintenance work experience and a valid California drivers license with no significant violations.
