City Council Makes Appointments to Three Commissions

Concord Mayor Laura Hoffmeister counsels persistence for candidates.

The Concord City Council has filled vacancies on the city’s Commission on Aging, Community Services Commission and the Parks, Recreation and Open Space Commission.

Councilmembers Bill Shinn and Tim Grayson had interviewed the candidates. “There was a great number of very well qualified applicants,” said Grayson.

Mayor Laura Hoffmeister took note that some of those appointed this week had been unsuccessful applicants to a city commission before. She said it was a good idea for applicants to be persistent.
