Update: Missing Person Alert Lifted, Sikes Found

36-year-old man who went missing and police believed to be at risk was found, according to Walnut Creek police.

Walnut Creek police say a man who they saught the public's assistance in locating Friday morning was found safely at relatives' home.

Shane Sikes, 36, "walked away from a care facility" sometime between Thursday evening and Friday at 6 a.m. and suffers from a recent brain injury that caused him significantly impaired vision, according to the department.

Before being located, Sikes was believed to be at risk and was previously last seen around midnight Thursday evening in the 1700 block of Geary Road in Walnut Creek, according to police.
