Upper Portion of Concord Parking Garage To Be Closed Friday for Fire Exercise

A portion of downtown Concord’s municipal parking garage at Salvio and Colfax street will be closed on Friday, July 18 from 8 a.m. to noon for firefighter training.

Contra Costa County Fire will use the two uppermost sections of the parking structure to simulate fighting a fire in a hotel or apartment.

The firefighters will stretch a fire hose inside the structure to train 15 to 18 recruits on techniques particular to multi-story buildings.
