Teen Arrested in Bird Shootings

At least two dozen geese and ducks shot to death in Concord parks.

Bay City News — Concord police have arrested a local teen suspected in the at Concord parks in the past few months.

Between Oct. 27 and Dec. 8 there were , with about 24 waterfowl, specifically geese and ducks, shot to death with pellets or small caliber bullets at and .

Investigators found a person of interest in the waterfowl deaths and on Friday arrested a 17-year-old Concord resident, police said.

The teen is being held at the Contra Costa County Juvenile Hall, police said.

Because of the suspect's age further details cannot be released, police said.
