Bay Point Double-Shooting, Death Investigated by Coco Deputies
Man dead at scene. Woman rushed to John Muir in Walnut Creek.
A man was killed and a woman injured in a shooting in Bay Point Sunday night, a Contra Costa County sheriff's spokesman said.
Sheriff's deputies responded around 11 p.m. to a report of an "unknown" problem in the first block of Mountain View Avenue where two shooting victims were found, sheriff's spokesman Jimmy Lee said.
A 25-year-old woman and a man both had both suffered gunshot wounds, according to Lee.
The man was pronounced dead at the scene.
The woman was taken to John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek.
More information about the woman's condition was not immediately available.
The man's name and age has not yet been released, according to Lee.
