Shots Fired Near Hwy 4 & Antioch High School; Man Arrested

No one was injured in the Thursday incident, police said.

One man was arrested in Antioch Thursday in connection with shots fired in a residential neighborhood near Antioch High School, a police sergeant said today.

Officers responded around 9:30 a.m. to reports of gunshots fired in the 2100 block of Manzanita Way, police Sgt. Tarra Nissen said.

Antioch High is at 700 W 18th St. on the corner of L Street. Manzanita is a few blocks away near L and north of Highway 4. 

One man at the scene was arrested on suspicion of being a felon in possession of a firearm, she said.

Police are not releasing the man's name.

No one was injured by the gunfire and there were no reports of property damage, according to Nissen.
