Sheriff Releases Photos of Suspicious Man on School Campus

Sheriff's deputies have released surveillance photos and are asking the public to help identify an unknown person who entered El Sobrante Christian School in unincorporated Contra Costa County during school hours on Nov. 4.

According to deputies, the male subject told the school staff that his name was James and that he was there to wait for the mother of a student. He also knew the name of a student. Deputies said he was waiting in the school office and wandered around before being told to go back to the office. After about 45 minutes, he left the school, deputies said. No contact was made between the student and the suspicious male subject, according to deputies.

The male is described as an African American, standing 6 feet 2 inches tall, with a medium build and waist-length dreadlocks, deputies said. Anyone with information on the identity of this person or regarding this incident is asked to call sheriff's deputies at (925) 313-2743.
