Several Geese Shot to Death Saturday at Newhall Park

Bay City News Service —  Concord police are investigating the shooting deaths of several geese at a city park Saturday.

Officers went to at 8 a.m. on Saturday after receiving calls that numerous water birds had been shot to death, police said. Arriving officers found four geese that had been killed and one that was suffering from a gunshot wound, police said.

The killings are under investigation, but police believe all of the birds had been deliberately shot.
