Police Seeking Suspect in Tuesday Morning Armed Robbery, Assault
Police looking for suspect who hit a man with the butt-end of a shotgun and robbed him Tuesday morning.
Concord Police are asking for the community's assistance on this one.
On Tuesday, around 1:54 a.m., a man was walking to his apartment at 1650 Pine St. when another man approached him and asked for a dollar, a release from the department stated.
When the victim gave the suspect a dollar, the suspect then demanded the victim's wallet and cell phone.

The release continues:
The victim refused to surrender those items and was immediately struck and knocked to the ground. The suspect then produced a shotgun and struck the victim about the head and face with the butt-end of the weapon. The suspect removed the victim’s wallet and fled the area on foot. The victim was transported to John Muir Medical Center Concord with significant non-life threatening injuries.

The suspect is a black male adult, 25 to 30 years of age, 6 feet tall, thin build, clean shaven, wearing a white long sleeve shirt and dark blue or black pants. He had been seen walking in the area previous to the robbery with an unknown black male subject.
