Homeless Man Arrested in Connection to Double Stabbing on Meadow Lane

UPDATED: The stabbing occurred around 9 p.m. Thursday on Meadow Lane off Monument Boulevard. Two men, one of whom is 16 years old, suffered minor injuries.

Concord police arrested a homeless man Thursday night on suspicion of stabing two other men at an apartment complex on Meadow Lane.

The stabbing occurred at 1133 Meadow Lane, off Monument Boulevard, just before 9 p.m, according to Lt. Darrell Graham of the Concord Police Department.

The victims were two white males — a 16 year old and a 32 year old —who suffered minor injuries and were transported to hospital.

The suspect is a 44-year-old white man who police say is a transient. He was arrested Thursday evening on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. The suspect's name has not been released.

The three men were acquaintances, according to Graham, who got into an argument that resulted in the suspect pulling out a knife and stabbing the other two men. The injuries were "very minor," according to Graham. One of the men was stabbed in the back near his shoulder blade.
