Homeless Man Arrested in Connection to Double Stabbing on Meadow Lane

UPDATED: The stabbing occurred around 9 p.m. Thursday on Meadow Lane off Monument Boulevard. Two men, one of whom is 16 years old, suffered minor injuries.

Concord police arrested a homeless man Thursday night on suspicion of stabing two other men at an apartment complex on Meadow Lane.

The stabbing occurred at 1133 Meadow Lane, off Monument Boulevard, just before 9 p.m, according to Lt. Darrell Graham of the Concord Police Department.

The victims were two white males — a 16 year old and a 32 year old —who suffered minor injuries and were transported to hospital.

The suspect is a 44-year-old white man who police say is a transient. He was arrested Thursday evening on suspicion of assault with a deadly weapon. The suspect's name has not been released.

The three men were acquaintances, according to Graham, who got into an argument that resulted in the suspect pulling out a knife and stabbing the other two men. The injuries were "very minor," according to Graham. One of the men was stabbed in the back near his shoulder blade.

The transient man frequently stays at the apartment complex at 1133 Meadow Lane, according to the Concord Police Department.
