Police Log: Armed Robbery, Home Burglaries

A look at noteworthy activity by the Clayton Police Department between Friday, Nov. 4, and Thursday, Nov. 17

Thefts — from residential burglaries to an armed robbery — kept Clayton police busy over the past two weeks. On the plus side, no vehicle accidents were reported during that period.

Nov. 4

Burglary of a vehicle on Herriman Drive was reported just after 2 p.m.

A residential burglary on Rolen Court was reported at 3:30 p.m.

A grand theft on Bettencourt Drive was reported at 9:40 p.m.

Nov. 5

A 47-year-old Clayton male was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated after being stopped for Vehicle Code violations at about 1:25 a.m. near the intersection of Easley Drive and Colombard Court. He was transported to the Concord Police Department for booking.

Nov. 6

Two armed robbers wearing masks robbed the Shop-N-Go market in Clayton Station at about 9:15 p.m. Read more about the robbery here.

Nov. 7

Vandalism was reported on Atchinson Stage Road shortly before 9:30 a.m.

A petty theft on Clayton Road was reported at 10:46 a.m., and another petty theft was reported on Pebble Beach Drive about 10 minutes later.

Nov. 8

A residential burglary on Mt. Palomar Place was reported at 9:39 a.m.

A petty theft on Yosemite Court was reported at 1:24 p.m.

A male juvenile was arrested on suspicion of fraudulent charity solicitation after officers responded to a call for service on Clayton Road about 6 p.m. He was released at the scene.

Nov. 9

Grand theft on Windmill Canyon Drive was reported  at 8:43 p.m.

Nov. 10

A residential burglary on Kenston Drive was reported at 3:34 p.m.

Nov. 11

A 34-year-old Clayton woman was arrested on suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and violating her probation after officers conducted a probation search on Kenton Drive at about 4:30. She was transported to the Martinez Detention Facility for booking.

Nov. 13

A 36-year-old Clayton man was arrested on suspicion of domestic battery after officers responded to a call for service on Mt. Shasta Place around 9 p.m.  He was transported to the Concord Police Department for booking.

Nov. 15

A petty theft on Herriman Drive was reported shortly after 3:30 p.m.

A residential burglary on Mt. Sequoia Place was reported at 7:18 p.m.

Nov. 17

A 31-year-old Oakland man was arrested on suspicion of driving with a suspended license after being stopped for Vehicle Code violations shortly before 7 a.m. near the corner of Clayton Road and Lydia Lane. He was issued a citation and released on his signed promise to appear.
