Police Arrest Man Suspected of US Bank Robbery at Willow Pass Safeway

After a continuing investigation, Concord police arrested 25-year-old Concord resident Clayton Hill Tuesday in connection to the Nov. 13 bank robbery.

A man was arrested Tuesday on suspicion of robbing the US Bank inside the Safeway store on Willow Pass Road.

The robbery took place around 1 p.m. on Nov. 13, according to the Concord Police Department (CPD), when the suspect allegedly handed a note to a teller demanding cash. No weapons were used, say police, and no one was injured.

During the subsequent investigation, police identified 25-year-old Concord resident Clayton Hill as a suspect. On Tuesday, Concord police detectives established probable cause to arrest Hill and obtained a warrant, according to CPD.

Hill was located around 2:45 p.m. driving westbound on Highway 4, police say, and was arrested without incident. 

The case is still being investigated by CPD detectives and no additional information is being released at this time.
