Police Arrest Burglary Suspect After Confrontation with Concord Resident

Woman surprised the Concord suspect, who fled on foot; Greenbush Drive neighbor helped police locate the suspect.

A resident of Greenbush Drive surprised a man breaking into her home about 11:15 p.m. Tuesday, causing a dash that ended with Concord police arresting the 20-year-old man in a nearby shopping center, police said.

The victim on the 4600 block of Greenbush Drive said she confronted the suspect, according to Lt. David Hughes. The suspect ran and was pursued by a neighbor. The neighbor helped police find the suspect 10 minutes later at the shopping center, Hughes reported.

The man was booked, processed for burglary and transported to the County Jail. The Concord resident is being withheld pending further investigation by Concord police detectives, Hughes said.
