Update: Coroner Identifies Motorcyclist Killed During Accident on 680

A motorcyclist who was killed in a crash on southbound Interstate Highway 680 on Saturday evening has been identified by the Contra Costa County coroner's office as 53-year-old Randall Black.

Black, a Dublin resident, died at a hospital after the collision, which was reported just after 7 p.m. Saturday near the Willow Pass Road on-ramp to southbound Highway 680, according to the California Highway Patrol.

The crash shut down multiple lanes of the highway for more than an hour. More details about the crash were not immediately available today.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
