Officials Identify Concord Woman Killed in Collision

A 28-year-old Concord woman was killed after crashing her car into a tree in Walnut Creek late Thursday night, according to a Contra Costa County coroner's deputy.

Kellie Reed died at John Muir Medical Center in Walnut Creek following the crash, which occurred around 11:35 p.m. in the 800 block of Ygnacio Valley Road, according to the coroner's deputy and police.

Reed was driving on Ygnacio Valley Road between Civic Drive and Walnut Boulevard when she struck a tree in the median, according to police.

Police said drugs or alcohol may have played a role in the deadly crash.

The case remains under investigation. Anyone with information is asked to call Walnut Creek police at (925) 943-5844.
