North Concord Apartment Fire Destroys Garages Friday

The fire was reported at 10:43 p.m. Photographer Craig Cannon was on the scene and captured some dramatic images.

A fire broke out in the garage of a North Concord apartment complex Friday night.

The fire was reported at 10:43 p.m. at an apartment complex at 2756
Argyll Avenue in Concord. Several garages in a detached multi-garage
structure were fully involved in flames when firefighters arrived, with the
fire spreading to the remaining garages and the nearby apartment complex.

The fire was ultimately contained to the garage structure, but fire crews were on the scene for more than four hours to completely extinguish the blaze, Broschard said.

Damage was estimated at around $100,000.
